What we collect
When you create an account, Clerk collects the email address you provide and manages your authentication credentials. Amino University stores the account email plus minimal optional profile information you add, such as display name, organization, and reading role. For visitors, the site collects standard aggregate web analytics — page views, device class, referrer — used to understand how the library is read.
How it's used
Account information authenticates you, restores your session, and sends transactional messages (sign-in confirmations, password resets). Aggregate analytics inform content and navigation decisions. Personal information is never sold.
Authentication
Authentication is handled by a third-party provider, Clerk, under its privacy and security practices. Amino University does not store plaintext passwords or password hashes in its application database.
Cookies
Essential cookies are used for authentication and session management. Optional analytics cookies help measure site usage. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
Data retention
Account records persist while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time; aggregate analytics that cannot be tied back to you may be retained for site-improvement purposes.
Security
Industry-standard security practices protect your information. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect your account has been compromised, request a reset immediately.
Your rights
Depending on jurisdiction (California, the EU, others), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Reasonable requests will be honored.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the revision date at the top of this page.
